Finding my way back to the old paths

Almost a year Later
I want more than anything like most women to be a great wife and mother. It's all I've really ever wanted since I was a little girl. I see myself now in my mid twenties and wonder where did go wrong. So its time to start over to find my way back to the old paths, to being a helpmeet, and a keeper of the home. I want to cook meals from scratch, have a perfectly clean house, well behaved kids, and homeschool without having a huge breakdown at the end of the day. Honestly I've realized with the help of a sermon {I will link ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hm8AnNiwH58 )} I've been too lazy to achieve my dreams. Therefore with tomorrow being mothers day I've decided its time to change.
The reason I chose mothers day is because I know what I'm getting for mothers day which is a new set of stainless steal dishes (in which I wanted). So I can implement my new plans to cook for our family. Yes I cook now however I'm excited to get away from the non stick cancer causing stuff we've had since we got married. so here is to a life change with four beautiful children and a wonderful husband.
As I put new things into place in my family I will do my best to share them. I'm starting by reading some new books and some old ones again and will continue to share my ideas.
By the way we had our fourth child early this year. Its a beautiful baby girl in which we name Emme Kate. All of our children's middle name happens to be family names however their first aren't always. we love our little chunk to pieces and she a wonderful baby as long as she's not alone or left in the quiet.

Congratulations.... it's baby #4
So one July 2 we found out we are expecting baby number four. Since we have moved we are hoping to find a midwife. I really would like to have a vba3c at home or in a birth center. So I will keep posting about how our journey go on doing those two things.
I did decide to make my first appointment with my orginal OB back home. I want her opinion on what she thinks is safe. She was very open to my last birth being a vbac. I will also get a synopsis of my previous birth. I will also do a 3 part series of my births soon.
We have decided to go the most natural route as possible meaning we will only have 1 ultrasound with the ob. My plan is to not find out what we are having. We chosen names but aren't going to reveal until the baby is born. So for now we call the baby..... baby G.

My new life
So.... my blogging skills have seriously been lacking. What has happened since I've stopped talking? Well we have a beautiful baby girl named Annabeth. She is about to be one and let's just say life with her is adventurous! She thinks she can keep up with the big kids most of the time. She truly is her daddy child. When she's unhappy it's known.
Let's see since October our church merged with another church so the old pastor could start doing missionary work in Africa. We miss our old pastor but am happy for him and his wife. The church turned into a liberal mess and so we got the heck out of dodge. My husband and I for our anniversary decided to go visit Texas. Specifically a church in Texas named Stedfast Baptist Church!!!
Best anniversary ever! Why? Well for one it served as our honeymoon we never had. Because for once I wasn't pregnant or nursing a baby. Well I was but I stored up for a weekend away ;) . We loved Texas and the church so much that from March 19 to April 30 we sold our house and moved over here!!!!! Crazy right. I'll do another blog about that move it was Crazy!
We moved into the cutest little house minutes from downtown Fort Worth and minutes from our new family (the church).
Our children have adjusted quite well and it's been a blessing to be around like minded women! I'm personally working on making friends. I always have my guard up because most people think I'm weird were here I'm normal!! :D
The homeschooling laws are great here and there's even a store that sale some of the homeschool material I wanted to use. So I can go look at it and see what would work best for us. Since our try out year didn't work.
So this has been my life getting adjusted to a new life in a new City (instead of country) with three blessed kiddos!

Making choices
As a parent one of the hardest part is.... making choices. Making choices like vaccinate, circumcision, surgerys, girls ear piercing. I realize most of this is minor to some people however as a parent I never want my children to come back to me and say I wish you wouldn't have blank. We make some of these choices because society tells us to like circumcision and vaccines. Other are a personal choice like ear piercing. The last example surgeries are because they are or we beileve they are necessary.
Let me explain my thinking society choices like circumcision we hear case after case of how men who were uncircumcised go to become circumcised however you never hear the the other size. Mostly because it's already done there's nothing you can do to change it. I want my son to make the choice however he can't when he's born. I make that decision. My vote without society tell me what to do. Leave it the way God made it if he wants it changed he can change it once it's done you can undo it. Ear piercing also fall into this category for me.
Vaccines are a sensitive subject as I found out this last week. I vaccinated my oldest on schedule exempt for once because she was already sick and I didn't want to put more stress on her immune system. However my son didn't get any except the one at the hospital. Why? Because I was not sure what to think. Give my child something that will cause them pain. Plus has harmful ingredient like aluminum, formaldehyde, and "the orginal infect person" most of the time is an aborted baby or aborted animal. Why would I put this in my child expecially when "we" don't know the long term effects of these ingredients over our lifes. Here's a for instance (this is not medically backed or medically accurate in anyway just an example). We know aluminum is a Nero toxin, however with it being in shots like Pc vaccine how do we know it not slowing hurting our brain and cause brain diseases. They say there in no harm in miniscule amount. That like saying a little Crack won't kill so I'm going to do it. These vaccines do keep our country from having huge epidemics of diseases that can kill people as well so what do you do? My answer research and figure out what your comfortable with. (I suggest reading The Vaccine Book by Robert W Sears).
So what do we do as parents? We try our best we make the choices hope and praying we know enough to make the right choices. We question the doctors, society, and ourselves to figure out what is right for our children. Let me say just because it was right for one child doesn't make it the right choice for another.

Sewing Projects
The other projects were my daughters I took an old tube top I never wear since my conviction on modesty and converted it into a long skirt for her. I also had a skirt that was way too big but was on sale for 1.00 that I have fixed. I have to say making skirts for her is one of the easiest projects and may take one full hour to completely sew together. I have plans on making her and Anna our soon to be new addition matching peasant dresses. However I don't have a pattern so I'm using on old dress that RaeLynn my oldest has just about out grown for my basic idea. I also have to get her a swimming suit ready since its getting about that time of year. I also have to make one for myself which should be interesting. My plan is to go to the sporting store and find some speedo type long shorts and sew a skirt on it fro my old bathing suit which has started coming apart at the top and buy a swimming tee for her. Our son is easy he has handy me down swimming trucks and he can go in a regular shirt but I still plan on buying him a swimming shirt. Mine is the hard one since this summer I am pregnant and I don't want to spend 50- 100$ on a bathing suit while I'm pregnant. so ill have to figure something out.
For my sewing project I have taken a pair of scrub pants and made them into a light wait skirt!!! Most of my skirts are maxi type skirts which I LOVE however they do not have pockets and I don't really carry a purse. My son is into backpacks so he carries a backpack with his stuff and I just put my wallet in it and carry my phone or something. I do have a small quilted saddle purse I carry around sometimes. So came the idea of a light weight stretchy (for my ever growing belly) pocketed skirt! I love scrubs anyway and I use to have some before that I wore all the time.
I want to start making most of my daughters cloths and only buy a couple of things here and there. However since I'm not the best sewer I am doing lots of projects to get knowledge and skills of sewing. My mother has agreed to give me her sewing machine at any point I want to take it I just don't have the cabinet clean off and useable or the space to put it where I can use it weekly. Plus I get to use all of her scraps and multi colors of thread if I do it at her house. LOL!
So soon to come will be pictures of the many projects I have completed! hope this inspires some young mom to do more sewing or just learn how. It takes time but it sure is fun the little things that you learn and watching you children in something you made!

Crocheting and update
I planned on starting my oldest daughter on her homeschool in January however with finding out I was expecting it delayed things a bit. I sill work with her on her basics. My son is really starting to increase on his vocabulary which means it really time to start working on his sight words, color, and animals. I still haven't found a program I 100 percent am sold on but I still have time.
I have found a new hobby of crocheting. I tried it out with my son and made him a beanie however I wasn't that impressed. Since I found out I was having a girl I have picked it back up and I LOVE IT! I have done two bows a flower and a pair of shoes. My plan now is to crochet a hat for my husband and then another pair of shoes for a friends granddaughter. I have so much I want to crochet and I'm so happy I'm getting better where I don't need my mom to show me or help me read the patterns.
I plan on sharing some of my creation along with the web address or blog I got them from. Im a cheap person so I haven't paid for any patterns yet.
I also plan on trying my absolute hardest to come up with a schedule before baby Annabeth is born even though I know she will probably disrupt it greatly. I just have never been a schedule kinda person I've tried many time and I will keep trying!
